Abstract

Nutrition plays a vital and important role in human health and the
maintenance of body weight gain, which can be risky health condition.
That a third of the world’s population is overweight, and can therefore
lead to the emergence of diseases related to being overweight, such as
high blood pressure, and diabetes, the deterioration of the balance of
blood fats, and the emergence of gout. The increase in weight can be an
effective factor in the incidence of atherosclerotic diseases, and problems
caused by the heart muscle disease by different diseases here show the
importance of gelatin in helping to reduce body weight, because it
extends the body acids security significant, without an increase in energy,
which amounts can that pose a health burden on the body. And gelatin
does not contain any fat, or sugar, or cholesterol, Moreover, he attracts a
large amount of water and fluids from the body and unite them, and this
is what makes it poses km from size fills the vacuum of the stomach and
Feeling satiety if handled before eating. This is one of the qualities that
qualify gelatin to be a substitute for fats and other foods that cause
obesity constitutes a healthy body and the burden, such as eating ice
cream, egg yolks, and starchy materials, meant this study using gelatin as
a tool to reduce weight lost.
1- Experimental animal
This study was conducted on 25 white rats Sprague dawley divided
into 5 groups, all of which consists of five rats per group as follows:
1.1. Experimental design
1.1.2. Control Group:
Group (1): (Control): Fed on basal diet.
Gelatin Sample Groups:
Group (2): Fed on basal diet and 5% gelatin
Group (3): Fed on basal diet and 10 % gelatin.
Group (4): Fed on basal diet and 15 % gelatin.
Group (5): Fed on basal diet and 20 % gelatin.
At the end of the experiment 28 day the rats were anesthetized and
the withdrawal of blood from the hepatic portal vein and transferred the
liver, kidneys and intestines after shock bleeding directly and preserved
until all samples analyzed, the study included a study of food to measure
the impact of each concentrations separately from gelatin on rats weight
at the end of the experiment also included a study of the impact of such a
focus on food consumption and special Accounts estimates the rate of
losses.
And estimated the liver, lung, heart, kidney and intestines weights
minute to see the effect on the concentrations of gelatin to affect internal
organs target weight
The study included also biochemical study, which is meant to study
the serologic enzymological to estimate the enzymes that indicate the
response of the liver to do as a result of the impact of dealing with
concentrations of gelatin where enzymes estimated hepatic tanker group
where increasing current rates at the time of inflammation cells liver- the
reason chemically or viral infection, according to the studies referred to in
the body of the message, namely glutamine enzyme pyruvate carrier and
second Alkaline-phosphatase transaminase.
Also, included biochemical study on the measurement of urea, a
product and the final president of the metabolic processes of proteins in
mammals with a anhydrous Creatine where results from creatine
phosphate Phosphocreatine after losing a phosphate group then passes the
blood to the kidneys to come out with urine plus uric acid is the final
product of the metabolism of the purine in humans, and enters in the
synthesis of purine nucleic acids and includes adenine and guanine.
Supported study examining blood hematology terms of the number
of red blood cells and white blood cells and hemoglobin and platelet
count was estimated as a whole blood where one of the polar evidence on
the effect of the concentrations of gelatin under study, on the general
vitality and the immune system and the incidence of inflammation of the
rule on the use of concentrations of gelatin under study.
Histopathological were studied to determine the state of the liver,
kidney and small intestine. to enhance of studies biochemical and
nutritional study comes as aggregate final reaction concentrations of
gelatin in the study on the body.
It was histopathological examination on samples of (liver, kidney
and small intestine) statistical analysis was also through using windows
computers used SPSS software to compare the groups treated with the
study, and all the results that have been obtained have been tabulated and
make appropriate recommendations.
2. The obtained results can be summarized in the following:
2.1. Food studies and physical measurements of experimental
animals.
When comparing the weights between the groups, results showed
that the control group also increased weight but study groups decreased
(concentration of various gelatin) in the weight gradually, while 20%
gelatin was the most low weight.
• At study, the rates of consumption of food group 10% gelatin was the
highest group.
• At, Study the effect of concentrations of gelatin on the liver, heart,
lung, spleen, kidneys and intestines weight
The results indicated that the liver weight of the group’s 20%
gelatin was the highest and the least was control group.
The results indicated that the heart weight of the group’s 5% gelatin
was the highest and 20%gelatin was the least.
The results also showed that lung weight group was 20% gelatin
was the highest and control group was the least.
In addition to the results also showed that the weight of the spleen
of the group 5% gelatin was the highest and 20% the least was.
Kidney weight 20% gelatin was the highest and the least was control.
As for the weight of the intestines, highest group was 15% gelatin was
the highest and control group was the least.
2.2. Biochemical Study
2.2.1. Complete blood count
Studies hematology shown that all concentrations of gelatin had a
positive effect by increasing the proportion of hemoglobin which became
the group’s 20% gelatin was the highest and control group was the least
one.

The red blood cells was also have positive effects in the natural
border upwards group 20% gelatin was the highest and control group was
the least one.
Results also showed that the blood platelets of the group ,20%
gelatin was the highest and the control group was the least.
Results of the studies also showed that white blood cells of the
group 20% gelatin was the highest and the control group was the least
one.
2.2.2. Serologic enzymatic liver
The results showed when studying the effect of the experimental
concentrations on the activity of an enzyme that alkali phosphate 20%
gelatin was the highest and control group was the least one.
Results also showed when measuring the enzyme glutamine
Aoxallowastadt carrier for the group 20% gelatin was highest and group
5% gelatin was the least one.
2.2.3. Serologic kidney
The results showed the group’s 20% gelatin with respect to the
enzyme Creatinine was the highest and the control group was the least.
The results for urea showed the group’s 20%gelatin was the highest
and the control group was the least.
The results for u acid showed the group’s 20% gelatin was the
highest and the 10% gelatin was the least.
2.3. Histological effect of the liver, kidney and intestine
With respect to the liver test results histological showed that the
control group with the group 5% did not show any change as the special
groups gelatin 10% happened to her activation in cells and duplication in
the nucleus of liver cells with rats from group 15% and 20% happened to
her congestion in the central vein and sinuses hepatic.
For kidney test results histological has made it clear that the control
group with a range of 5%, 10% and was their normal tissue as well as the
group 15% change in the form of gaps epithelial lining of the renal tubes
and 20% gelatin shows inflammation in the cells.
For the intestines histological test results have indicated that the
control group with 5%, 10% and 15% was the normal tissue and 20%
gelatin showed inflam.
