The Registers of Egyptian Police was chosen for researching because it’s important and her high position among Registers group in the Egyptian National Archive, where the number of records is more than thousand five record, Covers all important Governorates in Egypt , including Governorate, under study, the number of records of three hundred seventy-two record, The advantage of Egyptian Police records from all other records of the state administrative and financial manner output pages and display data in the form of a specific department and steady, And that strict regulation make it easy to identify just by looking at the records without see the content which enriched the Diplomatic study, in addition to a very important data for the population in such their numbers, ages, nationalities, careers, jobs and their health, social, economic Conditions, In addition to management information such as the departments of police station and the subsequent administrative units.
The study consists of two volumes , The First include four chapters and the second includes six appendixes. The First chapter ”Development of statistical system in Egypt” and the history of Egyptian Police taking past and present, And study the history of ”The Egyptian Police department”, Chapter two ”Archival Study of the registers of Egyptian Police ” began to define Registers group of Egyptian Police, Then a full study of the Registers of the governorate of Egyptian Police include its origins, places saved, the time geographic range, historical gaps, their physical condition and the system of arranged, And prepare a plan of classification, indexes for records and database, Chapter three ” Diplomatic Study of the registers of Egyptian Police ” Began viewing Transmission which registers moved, and study the extrinsic elements of documentary form, included bookbinding, paper, inks, numbers and signs and page layout and hand writing, then study the intrinsic elements of documentary form, included style of writing, diplomatic parts, at last study genesis of registers, Chapter four ”The importance of registers in various studies” which clarify importance of registers in the fields of research as Archival and Diplomatic Study, and the history of the Egyptian Police in Egypt, local and General administration, the social history of the police, The Second volume has seven appendix , The first appendix contain registries description , The second appendix contain achievement terms which mention in registers, The third appendix contain publishing of document for registers, The fourth appendix contain photos of registers , The five appendix contain tables for the total number of police Governorate, The last appendix contain index of times.
The study has come up with important results for example, The Egyptian Police registries is (6051) , and has shown the impact of the substantive content of the registers on the Diplomatic composition, also provided archival information about the physical condition of the registers, and identified gaps of time in the series, Also contributed to the study in the exact definition of terms.
