Abstract
In the present study, a probabilistic seismic hazard assessment for Egypt is carried out in terms of peak ground acceleration and spectral acceleration values. hazard curves, uniform and design hazard spectra, and DE aggregation results for the most important cities , are also presented focused on improving the current earthquake engineering knowledge in the region, in the beginning a review of all available published seismic hazard assessments for Egypt , as well as the seismic actions included in the building codes have been done in order to show state of the art of the seismic hazard assessment studies for the country.
