The family formation is one of the most important factors that help the family together and to maintain its ability to practice good social performance of their social functions, it is known that the family construction based on sub-components, like father, mother and children, but when the family lost one of these components, this may reflect the family cohesion and displays them for collapse and disintegration and obstacles their ability to effective performance of their social functions.
dropping father in to prison and staying away from the family is representing a major cause of the collapse of the family cohesion and decomposition the formulation of social roles when they fail on one or more of its members to carry out their required role properly, the prison impact is not limited to the prisoner only but firstly to be affected by the prisoner’s family, does not have this effect on the part of one but of all aspects, whether economic, social, psychological, etc .... all of that beside the stigma pursuing these families because of society’s perception of them.
from here it was the researcher interesting with the present study to confirm interest in studying the families of the prisoners needs as considering they are an important class need more attention and care, hence this study is concerned with assessment the families of prisoners needs and improve the quality of their lives in order to reach a planning indicators help to satisfy those needs.
Based on the foregoing, the issue at stake in this study is how to estimate the effect of prisoners’ families need assessment an important input for planning in improving the quality of their lives? Or is there a relationship between the prisoners families need assessment and planning to improve the quality of their life for the better?
Devise from the foregoing a range of issues that the study attempts to answer are as follows:
1.What needs of the prisoners’ families?
2. What is the level of improve the quality of life of the prisoners’ families through objective and subjective dimension of quality of life?
3. What are the difficulties that prevent satisfy the needs of the prisoners’ families?
4. What proposals that contribute to satisfy the needs of the prisoners’ families?
Second: the significance of the study:
determine the importance of the study as follows:
1. The study is gaining importance through, The first analytical report 2012 is considered as a call for support the best practices to offer high quality services for the prisoners’ families Which numbered from 50 thousand to 70 thousand at the time.
2.Social Work consider as an institutional profession practiced in social organizations such as governmental institutions engaged in the care of prisoners and their families and can be help the social workers working in the institutions which take care of prisoners and their families by emphasizing the importance enlighten and trained them to use modern models and approaches that enable them to assess the needs of the prisoners’ families and achieving the goals of their professional practices. needs assessment the of the excess numbers, which amounted to 2946 beneficiary families of social security services in Assuit governorate.

• Assessment and arrange the needs of the prisoners’ families.
• Determine the level of improving the quality of life of the prisoners’ families through self and objective dimensional for quality of life.
• Identify the obstacles facing the prisoners’ families to assess their needs to improve their quality of life.
• Try to access planning indicators to assess the needs of the prisoners’ families as a variable in planning to improve the quality of their lives.

• It is expected that the level of the prisoners’ families needs is average.
• It is expected that the level of quality of life indicators of the prisoners’ families is average.
• There is a statistically significant inverse relationship between the needs of the prisoners’ families and improve their quality of life.
• There is a statistically significant relationship between some demographic variables for the prisoners’ families and their appreciation to their different needs.
• There is a statistically significant relationship between some demographic variables for the prisoners’ families and their appreciation to improve their quality of life.

1. The Type of the study and its method:
This study is consider one of the descriptive analytical studies, which have a descriptive research ability on the description and analysis of the nature of the issues and problems to be studied and that it entails Find the current study is based on the scientific method using a comprehensive social survey method to the officials and their number (21) single, as well as comprehensive social survey of heads of households beneficiaries of social units Obotej center and their number (112) single.

Data were collected in the period from 5/10/2015 to 20/11/2015 AD and reviewed on the ground and a desk and has been processing the data through the computer using a program (SPSS.V. 17.0) Statistical Package for Social Sciences, has applied the following statistical methods:

Seventh: The results of the study:
1. Results of the study showed that ”it is expected that the level of the needs of families of prisoners is average ”as defined by the heads of families and officials.
2. The results of the study showed that ”it is expected that the level of quality of life of the families of prisoners indicators is Average” as defined by the heads of families and officials.
3. The results of the study showed that ”there is an inverse relationship statistically significant between the needs of the families of prisoners and improve their quality of life as determined by the heads of families and officials.
4. The results of the study showed that there is no statistically significant relationship between some demographic variables to the families of prisoners and their appreciation to their different needs as determined by the heads of families and officials.
5. The results of the study showed that there is no statistically significant relationship between some demographic variables to the families of prisoners and their appreciation to improve their quality of life as determined by the heads of families and officials.
