Abstract The present study was designed to investigate serum free testosterone levels and insulin resistance associated with miscarriage in PCOS patients. The study was done at department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tanta University Hospital, from October 2014 to September 2015. It included 60 cases of early pregnancy in PCOS women, who were divided in two groups: 30 pregnant PCOS women were in early miscarriage (group A); and 30 pregnant PCOS women with first trimester normal pregnancy (group B). All women were submitted to full history taking, thorough clinical examination and laboratory investigations with measurement of serum free testosterone, fasting plasma glucose, fasting serum insulin and estimation of insulin resistance. |
