This study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the function of communication for public relations in the Libyan banks, by examining communications carried out by the Public Relations, both at the domestic level or external, as well as to identify the trends of workers Vilk banks about the introduction of modern information and communication technology in the banking business, and know the most important forms Modern communication technology and the information used in the field of public relations banks under study, and the disclosure of more modern means of communication effectiveness, and to identify the advantages achieved by electronic communication for those working in the field of public relations. Society may be a study of two categories, the first category: Clients and customers of banks under study totaling (130 803) spread on the bank of Commerce and the National Development and commercial branches, where the number of customers at the National Commercial Bank (80 525), and the Trade and Development Bank (50 278), was use a random sample stratified Alencbah.opalrjua to the table submitted by each of the (Krejce and Morgan 1970) (see Supplement No. 3), the sample size was determined by (384) Single distributed to banks under study. The second category: workers and employees in the public relations departments of banks under study, has been limited to the use of the comprehensive approach, where the number was (120) employees spread over banks under study. The most important findings of her study : • The study showed that 66.7% of respondents believe that the public relations department in which they work are using information and communication technology is average. • explained that internet access occupied the first place with 86.7% as one of the manifestations of the use of the Public Relations Department • The study showed that the Department of Public Relations Libyan banks rely 80% on the means of communication • Internet occupied the first place with 93.3% as one of the most effective means of communication technology used by the Department of Public Relations Libyan banks.
