Abstract

This thesis is interested to study and discuss some problems
of generalized thermoelastic medium in three dimensions under
the influence of different fields such as the effect of rotation,
magnetic field, reference temperature, gravitational field, laser
pulse on the thermoelastic medium with diffusion, as well as the
effect of laser pulse on the micropolar thermoelastic medium
using different theories of generalized thermoelasticity and the
normal mode method.
The thesis is organized in seven chapters as follows:
Chapter one: consists of eleven sections contain a review of
thermoelasticity.
Chapter two: the Green-Naghdi (G-N) theory of type II
(without energy dissipation) was used to study the influence of
the rotation on three dimensions of generalized thermoelastic
medium. The effect of rotation was discussed numerically and
are illustrated graphically.
Chapter three: the Lord-Shulman (L-S) theory was used to
investigate the effect of magnetic field on three dimensional
thermal shock problem in generalized thermoelasticity. The
effect of magnetic field and relaxation time were discussed with
numerically and are illustrated in a graphical method.
Chapter four: the normal mode analysis was used to discuss a
three dimensional generalized thermoelasticity problem with
temperature dependent properties in the context of the Green-
Naghdi (G-N) theory of type II (without energy dissipation). The
effect of reference temperature was discussed numerically and
are illustrated graphically.
Chapter five: the Dual-Phase-Lag (DPL) theory was
investigated to study the effect of gravity field on generalized
thermoelastic medium in three dimensions. The effect of gravity
field, phase-lag of temperature gradient and phase lag of the heat
flux were discussed numerically and are illustrated graphically.
Chapter six: the Green-Lindsay (G-L) theory was introduced to
discuss the influence of thermal loading due to laser pulse on a
three-dimensional problem of the generalized thermoelasticity
with diffusion. The effect of laser pulse was discussed with
numerically and are illustrated in a graphical method.
Chapter seven: the Green-Naghdi (G-N) theory of type III (with
energy dissipation) was introduced to study the influence of
thermal loading due to laser pulse on generalized micropolar
thermoelasticity in three dimensions. The effect of laser pulse
was discussed numerically and are illustrated graphically.
