Abstract

This research was designed to study the effect of different packing techniques and C-factors on the micro-tensile bond strength of Bulk-filled resin composite to dentin.
The research question:
For the interfacial failures associated with bulk packing of resin composite, will using the recently introduced Bulk-Fill resin composite in different cavity configuration factors, compared to the gold standard incrementally packed hybrid resin composite, result in significantly higher micro-tensile bond strength?
The PICO elements:
Problem: Interfacial bond failures associated with bulk packing of resin composite.
Intervention: Bulk packing of Bulk-Fill resin composite in high and low C-factors.
Control: Incremental packing of hybrid resin composite in high and low C-factors.
Outcome: Micro-tensile bond strength.
