Abstract Monosodium glutamate (MSG) is one of the most flavor enhancers commonly used all over the world by millions of people in their food. MSG is found in a wide variety of canned and packaged food. MSG has many side effects on CNS, kidney, liver, heart and eye. MSG has a toxic effect on the testis causing a significant oligospermia and increases abnormal sperm morphology. This work was carried out to study the effect of MSG on the histological structure of the seminiferous tubules and morphology of sperms of adult albino rat and to study the possibility of recovery. The present study was carried out on 64 adult male albino rats that were divided into three main groups, control group (C), experimental group (T) and recovery group (R). |
