Abstract
- introduction:
It is the second episode of the basic education of the most important stages in the individual’s education and preparation for life, to live the present and the future successfully. It also aims to give the individual the minimum necessary information, concepts and trends that make him a good citizen in society
The importance of the second cycle of basic education, especially with the double early twenty-first century, and the emergence of the great scientific advances sophisticated and modern technology, and the occurrence of rapid changes in all areas of life.
where imposed a global economic, political, social and developmental variables in the era of globalization, many challenges at various educational systems, which requires dealing with these rapid effectively and awareness of variables, in an attempt to understand the data present and adaptation, as these variables require a citizen of a modern open-minded, has the incentive and ability to think creative, creativity, innovation and excellence modern specifications, with an emphasis on self-Egyptian identity, cultural heritage, and the confirmation of belonging and loyalty to the homeland
One of the things that are now self-evident that the educational process is a tool to manage the group through which they can fine tune and refine its members the ability for this administration to be effective, it is recognized that education must be seen from each group as a social process is closely linked to the economic and social aspects and political, it must be built on the core of the culture of the existing requirements
Modern Education as aimed by the school to help her students to grow nonself physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually, to become good citizens, and even understand the natural and social environments, and the achievement of all, through education and the practice of activities inside and outside the school Therefore The activities are educational way to gain knowledge and experience about life, and the training of students to self-education and gain knowledge from their original sources.
Among the most important aspects that need to be addressed in the second episode of basic education important aspects of national consciousness (religious, political, social, economic and historical), as the national consciousness has major significance since childhood, he is working to instill adequate directions for these students from an early age to be trained on the meaning of citizenship valid.
In order to achieve the principle of good citizenship, the student needs to set it up in favor of a citizen to political knowledge, values and skills that help to play its role towards the issues and problems facing his community and his country and contribute to the resolved in light of the global variables
As the educational extracurricular activities as additional programs to complement the school social function, where these activities are achieved in the exercise of self-expression and the satisfaction of basic student needs next to the development of the spirit of belonging and good citizenship, it is possible to be for these activities in basic education is an important and effective role in the development of National awareness for students in basic education, and instilling positive trends have since childhood to participate in the future of society, and that Atoagaf- to a great extent a good selection of these activities, preparation and implementation in line with the objectives assigned to them accurately.
Problem of the study:
Based on the above, this study aims to conceptualize the proposal to activate the educational activities for the development of the national awareness of the prep stage pupils through research in educational and philosophical foundations of the educational activities of the national consciousness and the reality of the role of educational activities in the development of this awareness, with a vision to activate the role of these activities for the development of national consciousness and to identify the requirements and mechanisms activated.
In other words, the current study will try to answer the following research questions: -
1. What educational and philosophical foundations of the educational activities?
2. What is the national consciousness and related concepts in human thought?
3. What is the reality the role of educational activities in the development of the national awareness among junior high school students?
4. What the foundations of the proposed concept to activate the role of the educational activities in the development of national consciousness among junior high school students?
5. What activating educational activities for the development of national consciousness and requirements mechanisms?
the importance of studying:
The importance of this study and its findings and recommendations to the back as follows: -
1. The current study contributes to the understanding and analysis of the role played by educational activities in the supply of junior high school students with the knowledge, information and values relating to the dimensions of their national consciousness.
2. According to the results of this study to judge the success of the educational activities to contribute a significant role in the national awareness of the development of the students of the second cycle of basic education, and that, as the activities of the most liquid and effective awareness that development helps the formation of a good citizen committed to the official, who can be relied him in the face of the challenges facing the society in which he lives, and the Arab nation to which he belongs.
3. The current study contributes to conceptualize the proposal to activate the role that can be played by educational activities in the national awareness of the development of the students of basic education, which is directed to the officials on the activities when planning and follow-up, so as to contribute effectively to these pupils service in particular and society Egyptian in general.
4. can contribute to enrich the field of national education in particular, and Foundations of Education in general because it helps those responsible for educational activities in schools to reconsider about their importance and the possibility of development in order to achieve the goal of development of the national awareness of the pupils.
5. According to parents and their awareness of the importance of educational activities and their role in development of the national awareness of their children’s development, which helps to encourage their children to participate in educational activities.
Study Approach:
Due to the nature of this study and its objectives, it will depend on the use of philosophical analysis method in the analysis of the main concepts in the study, and the use of the descriptive approach, which aims to describe the phenomenon and its interpretation, analysis and development. And descriptive approach is one of the ways the scientific method that deals with the reality and the possibility of its development by visualizing a proposal to activate the role of educational activities in the development of the national consciousness of students the second episode of basic education. It is also research approaches, which specializes in the process of research and investigation on the educational phenomena as they exist in the present and described, diagnosis and analysis, and interpretation in order to discover the relations between the elements, and come through it into meaningful instructions for her.

The limits of the study:
The limits of the current study was limited to the following:
- The collection of data from this study, a random sample of third graders secondary because they are more aware and mature students from previous classes.
- The study sample was selected at random from junior high school students in Greater Cairo (Cairo, Giza - Shubra)
- Extra-curricular activities for pupils and students associated with different areas included.
Some of the study’s recommendations:
1. Ensure that the primary objective of the National awareness among students of secondary education in Egypt is the formation of a good citizen who is capable of active participation in community development, and face the problems in the light of contemporary global changes.
2. to take all the educational institutions in mind that the main based on the overall development of the Egyptian society, is the development of the national consciousness of students from an early age, leading to the generation of enormous energies capable of creativity, innovation and the face of the rapid and successive transformations in all spheres of life.
3. taking into account the family for some aspects and considerations during the development of its national consciousness to their children as follows:
(A) attention to the purpose and the development of loyalty and belonging and national values in them since childhood.
(B) to ensure that the student finds in his parents’ example of good intention in the self and the nation, and a role model in safeguarding the interests of the homeland and the Arab nation.
(C) encourage the family for their children to participate in extra-curricular educational activities, because of their importance in the minds enrich the diverse knowledge and values for the country and life in general.
(D) the keenness of parents on the side of independence for their children development, and the strengthening of and respect for the individual’s personality within the family, and provide the freedom to express his ideas and encourage him to express an opinion without fear or hesitation.
4. concentration of media: magazines, books, newspapers, and radio, TV, and cinema .. etc., to apply depth of knowledge and information, issues and problems in the special dimensions of the national awareness of ways, so students can at this stage aware of the real her, and active participation in finding appropriate solutions for the development of society.
5. full coordination between all the formal and informal means of education, ”such as the family, school, and the media, political parties, trade unions .. etc”, in the Egyptian society for the development of the national awareness in the public of pupils and students of secondary education in particular, and linked to the objectives and general trends in society, and that in order to achieve stability and progress, and to prevent the emergence of negative indifference and intellectual vacuum in the Egyptian society.
6. directing more attention to the educational studies for the treatment of the dimensions of the national consciousness in the preparatory stage of education at the present time.
7. the need to take into account the educational goals of educational activities which seek to achieve in the secondary education stage.
8. into account the balance between the various dimensions of national awareness among students of secondary education in the content of educational activities, so as not to drown out after yet another which helps the development of national consciousness among students in a balanced manner in the Egyptian society.
9. There must be a sound scientific planning educational activities in secondary education stage with her follow-up and evaluation, so that they can prepare students for good citizenship in light of the challenges of the twenty-first century.
10. educational activities considered part of the curriculum, so as to allow for teachers within the exercise of their duties assigned to them, as made available to the students active participation in these activities as an integral part of the school calendar.
