Abstract

Learner-centered education defines as the strategy that putting students needs, abilities, interests, learning styles at the center of their own learning , and also the responsibility of learning for the students is placed on the first while the ecturers and nursing educators staffbecome the facilitators of teaching process completely. In a learner-centered environment, students are actively engaged in creating, understanding and exercising control over their learning. Where, this approach allows students to actively participate in discovery their teaching processes needs from an autonomous viewpoint. In addition to, educators whose collective work focused on how students learn perfectly, is primarily responsible for the move to learner-centered learning. The present research aimed to study nursing educators staff utilization of learner centered approach for teaching university nursing students. The study was conducted at Tanta University Faculty of Nursing. The study subjects included all (1489) students enrolled for studying nursing courses at the four academic years 2013 / 2014.
