Abstract
This study done for assessment of right ventricular diastolic function before and after permanent pacemaker implantation by a period of six months. First assessment: assessing 40 patients clinically and echocardiography before permanent pacemaker implantation. Last assessment : 38 patients clinically and echocardiography after six months of pacemaker implantatio We conclude that: 1- Patients after six months of pacemaker implantation have right ventricular dysfunction. 2- The diastolic dysfunction precedes systolic dysfunction. 3- This is why we should assess patients undergoing permanent pacemaker before and after.
