Abstract
This investigation was carried out during the period of
1990 to 1996, in the Laboratories of the Genetics Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University. The objectives of this investigation was to study the phylogenetic relationships between some species of genus Hordeum namely H. vulgare, H. murinum, H. marinum and H. spontaneum, by usmg biochemical genetic markers such as protein electrophoresis, hordein electrophoresis, isozymes and serological analysis. Results obtained throughout this study could be summarized in the following points:
