Abstract
The family of Seif Al Nasr Pasha is considered one of the oldest families at the City of Malawi. The family still has more palaces in the city .The most famous Pashas of this family was Abd El Megeed Pasha Seif El Nasr. He was the eldest son of Seif Pasha and was Mayor of the city of Malawi from 1915 until 1942 AD.
The Division of the Thesis:
The study consists of an introduction and six chapters as follows:
The introduction of the study included brief historical outline about Malawi city during nineteenth and twentieth century’s.
Chapter One: The architectural descriptive study.
The first part: dealt with the exterior description of the palace.
The second part: dealt with the interior description of the palace.
Building materials that used in construction of the palace
Chapter two: Studying The Architectural and Artistic styles of the Palace.
Chapter Three :Comparison between Abd El Megeed Pasha Palace and
some Palaces at EL- Mania :
This chapter dealt with studying Comparison between Abdul Megeed Pasha Palace and some Palaces at EL- Mania city This chapter is divided into two parts The first part dealt with the architectural elements The second part dealt with decorative elements.
Chapter Four: Proposal study to convert the palace into A Museum for Modern Arts.
This chapter is divided into three parts.
The first part: the importance of tourism The second part: the existing condition of the palace The third part: Proposal study to convent the palace into a museum for modern Arts At the end, I concluded my study with the results of the thesis, and I attached a catalogue to my study that contains some modern photos, plans, maps, tables and the resources and references I have depended on.
