Abstract
Buffaloes of two dairy herds in two farm station located at Assuit Governorate. The first herd belonging to the Animal production Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Al-Azhar University, Assuit Branch, while the second herd belonging to Misr EL-khir Organization farm (25 km north east of Assiut city) were used in this work, Experiment 1: Effects of Anise seed (Pimpinella Anisum L) and Active dry Yeast (Saccharomyces Cerevisiae) supplemented as feed additive of lactating buffaloes on performance, feed efficiency, milk yield, milk composition, calves growth and some blood parameters. Experiment 2: Effect of age at first calving (AFC) on some reproductive traits, and also the relationship between days open (DO) and milk production, lactation length in lactating buffaloes in the second herd.
