Abstract

Faba bean is one of the most important human foods or animal feed legumes in the world. In Egypt, it is grown for its green pods and dried seeds, which are rich in protein, carbohydrate and other nutritional compounds. Chocolate spot disease caused by B. fabae, is one of the most destructive diseases that causes considerable reduction in faba bean production. Due to concerns of exposure risks, fungicide residues and other health and environmental hazards, induced resistance is considered as an environmentally friendly alternative approach for controlling plant diseases.
