Abstract
This thesis presented a new weighted distribution which is known as the weighted kumaraswamy distribution. This distribution is contrasted and studied. Many statistical and reliability properties of this distribution are discussed and obtained. Also the parameters of this distribution are estimated. An application using a real data set was presented to illustrate the model flexibility in fitting same data against some other known distributions. Chapter 1 concerned with the basic concepts of statistical distributions, types of distribution, some statistical and reliability measures, and some statistical topics related to the research. Chapter 2, a comprehensive study on beta distribution made contains an overview of the distribution and its importance, some statistical measures of that distribution, related distributions, and some models on beta distribution and its applications.
