ABSTRACT
The study aimed mainly at evaluating the role of some agricultural satellite channels in developing the environmental knowledge, skills and livelihood among farmers in North Sinai governorate. Several tools were used to collect study data which are agricultural environmental programs content analysis form in agricultural Egypt channel in addition to preparing questionnaire form that was applied on a sample of North Sinai governorate farmers, it consists of (100) subjects, they were divided into two groups (50) subjects for experimental group, (50) subjects for control group.
The most important results were:
Analysis results indicated interest extent of chosen program in handling agricultural issues whose rate was 86.81% of total subjects that the programs handled whereas non-agricultural issues were in the second rank as its rate was 13.15% which reflect extent of their interest in covering agricultural environmental issues.
Dialogue form occupied the first rank at the rate of 61.39% of total used forms in presenting programs, direct speech was in the second rank at the rate of 15.19%, report was at the third rank at the rate of 13.92%, news was in the fourth at the rate of 7.59% whereas others mentioned at the final rank at the rate of 1.89%.
There are statistical significant differences between degrees averages of experimental group and control group in favor of experimental group in environmental cognition scale at 0.01 abstract level.
