Abstract

Infertility is a psychological burden affecting individuals, but often couples. It is defined as the failure to conceive after one year of regular intercourse in women ≤35 years not using contraception and after six months in women ≥35 years.
Once a cause ( or lack thereof, in unexplained cases of infertility ) has been identified, the path for treatment generally becomes apparent. In this review we aim to discuss the impact of different endocrine disorder on the reproductive female function potentially leading to female infertility
72 women participated in this study in classified into two groups, group I that composed of 36 1ry infertility women complained with galactorrhea. group II composed from 36 healthy women as a control group, Their ages ranges from 21 to 30 years. Estimation of three hormones PRL-TSH-FT4 that were analyzed by chemiluminescence immunoassay ( cobas) in two groups.
Results showed Significant higher value of (PRL) and (TSH) (p≤0.001) were observed in the patient group (I) when compared with control group II. While significant lower values (p≤0.001) in F-T4 were observed in patients of group I. when compared with control group II.
In conclusions, there is a high incidence of hyperprolactinaemia in 1ry infertile women mainly with galactorrhea and there is a good positive correlation between hypothyroidism and hyperprolactinema
