Abstract Developng the suez canal Axis at the East Port Said area needs to construct heavy loaded structures on a very soft clay layers. A lot of structrural problems arising mainly from soil settlement were reported in the last few years. Barrette foundations can perphaps be the key solution for avoiding such settlement problems for heavy loaded structures. Most of soil structure interaction methods for analyzing large-section supports such as barrette foundations model the barrette and surrounding soil using 3d FE models. in which, the model leads to a large finite elwment mesh of a large system of linear equations to be solved. in this thesis, composed coefficient technique (CCT) is adapted for analyzing barrette. the technique takes into account the 3D FDULL INTERACTIONS BETWEEN BARRETTE-BARRETTE AND SOIL-BARRETTE. |
