afford 2-[4-Oxoquinazolin-3(4H)-yl]acetimidohydrazide (3)in 43.5% yield

of DMF was reflux for 7 h to afford
3-[(2H-tetrazol-5-yl)methyl]quinazolin-4(3H)-one (4)in 84.5% yield A mixture of 3 with triethyl ortho formate in ethanol was refluxed for 24 h to afford 3[(1H1,2,4triazol3yl)methyl]quinazolin-4(3H)-one (5)in 45 % yield
