Abstract

The isolation trials were canied out from soil prepared for cotton cultivation at different locations as Basion province in Gharbia governorate and Sakha province at Kafr El-Sheikh governorate. Data indicate that several isolates of both R. solani and Fusarium monifilorme were obtained and have been tested for their sensitivity to three tested fungicides i.e., pencycuron, tolclofos-methyl and carboxin. One isolate {No2) of R. solani from Kafer El-Sheikh governorate, showed high resistance against higher concentrations (up to 1500 ppm) ofto1clofos-methyl with remarkable activity of mycelial growth on PDA medium treated with such fungicide. Acquired resistance was retained after five transfers on fungicide-free medium.
2. The application of pencycuron, carboxin and tolclofos-methyl to media gave succifient inhibitional efficacy on mycelial growth of one isolate (No!) of R. solani. The isolate No2 of R. solani exhibited high resistance to tolclofos-methyl but not to the other two fungicides i.e., pencycuron and carboxin.
3. The resistant isolate to tolclofos-methyl grew with remarkable growth on PDA amended with series of cone. up to 1500 ppm and the EC50 for this isolate was 736.94 ppm compared with 0.224 ppm for the sensitive isolate No!. The resistant isolate No2.
