Abstract This study aims to assess factors affecting clinical training of nursing students at Technical Institute of nursing in Dakahlia governorate. Descriptive research design was used in this study. The total sample includes all fifth year nurse students with a total number of 163 and 50 nurse educators from the technical Institute of nursing in Dakahlia governorate. Two tools were used to collect the data. The first tool was students’ questionnaire sheet. This tool was used to determine factors affecting clinical training as perceived by nurse students. The second tool was observational checklist to assess nurse educators performance in clinical area. The study was carried out at the Technical Institute of nursing in Dakahlia governorate. The results of the study revealed that the highest percentage of factors affecting clinical training as perceived by nurse students, were the educators knowledge followed by skills, feedback, communication sk~l!s, equipment and supplies. Regarding nurse educators performance in clinical area. The results of the study indicated that the highest percentage were for equipment, supplies and planning. |
