Abstract The solubility of five monocarboxylic acids, benzoic acid (BA), orthotoulic acid (OTA), paratoulic acid (PTA), 2chloro-benzoic acid (2ClBA), 4 chlorobenzoic acid (4ClBA) in mixed ethanol (ETOH – H_2 O)solvents at different temperatures, 293.15, 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15 K. from solubilities and pH measurements of saturated solutions, the dissociation constants (K’), ratio between association and dissociation constants (k_1 〖/k〗_2) and the difference Gibbs free energies between association and dissociation ∆∆G were evaluated. Densities different volumes for the saturated mono carboxylic acids were measured. Electrical conductance measurements of different acid concentrations( all used acids) in water, (20% ETOH- 77% H2O- 3% DMF)and (40% ETOH–57% H2O- 3% DMF)at different temperatures. On titrating conductometrically normal (bulk) CuSO4 and nanosized copper sulfate with used carboxylic acid benzoic derivatives at different temperatures indicating the formation of 1 : 2 and 1 : 1 complexes and make to them SEM,TEM,AFM and XRD. from thequantum mechanical molecular orbital calculations in gas phase and in solution using different types of polarizable continuum models (PCM), as(IEFPCM, CPCM and SMD )at different levels of computation sinclude the PM3 semiemperical method, the RHF/3-21G level of calculation and the B3LYP level of calculation with the 6-311G(d,p) basis setو it was found good agreement between theortical and experimental values. |
