Abstract

The aim of this work is to assess the association between CAE and HCV seropositivity and to evaluate the patterns of CAE in HCV infection. To achieve these aims, we included 50 patients with CAE as patients group, they were (50) patients, (38) males and (12) females with their mean age (50.84 ± 11.04) years. Another 50 patients with normal CA as control group, they were (50) patients, (39) males and (11) females with their mean age (53.8 ± 12.36) years. Both groups (ectatic and normal angiography) were age and sex matched. All patients were subjected to thorough history taking, clinical examination, 12 leads ECG, detailed 2 D echocardiography and coronary angiography.
