Abstract
Screening for disease is to discover those among the apparently well who are in fact
suffering from it, they can then be placed under the treatment. Therefore, screening is an
admirable method of combating disease, it should detect it in its early stages and enable it
to be treated. So, Preventive health Screening plays a big role in preventive medicine and
is an important parts of a Health screenings. The health care provider will be interested in
reviewing any risk factors may have for common chronic diseases and discussing what can
do to prevent illness. In addition Nurses play an important role in educating the public
about screening programs, counseling especially for high risk individual, Nurses who
provide screening services can also make an important contribution by educating
employers about the benefits of screening and answers questions and stresses the
importance of follow up
The Aim of the study
To assess the utilization of preventive health screening services by women over 40
year
Setting:
The study was carried out in seven family health centers were chosen by equal
allocation method from the seven zones in Alexandria Appendix Ill.
Subjects:-
from each family health centers 50 women over 40 years were randomly selected to
represent the study sample. The total Sample size were 350 women.
