Abstract Nutrition plays a vital and important role in acid and alkaline balance and human health. This study was designed to investigate the effects of consumption acidic and alkaline food to determine offspring gender and its effect on the body health. In total, 20 female and 5 male albino rats were chosen and randomly divided into 5 groups. All rats were adapted on standard diet for one week and divided into five groups in the ratio male to female 1:4 according to Chandraju et al., (2012) and fed on the special diet as the following groups: group (1): negative group was fed on basal diet only.group (2): potatoes group fed diet and recommended dietary allowances of K+ from potatoes sources. group (3): potatoes group fed diet and double amount of the recommended dietary allowances of K+ from potatoes sources and K2HPO4. group (4): milk group was fed diet and recommended dietary allowances of Ca from Dry milk sources. group (5): milk group was fed diet and double amount of the recommended dietary allowances of Ca from Dry milk sources plus CaCO3. After 20 days of the special diet males were mated with females and after occurring pregnancy they separated after confirming the occurrence of pregnancy and all groups returned to standard diet and after 20-23 day they gave birth and determined the sex of babies after Weaning. |
