Abstract This study is aiming at assessment arterial wall stiffness and its relation to left ventricular hypertrophy in prevalent hemodialysis patients in Port Fouad Suez Canal authority hospital and to compare results with age and sex matched, normal healthy volunteers. The study included 18 clinically stable patients with ESRD on regular hemodialysis in Port Fouad Suez Canal authority emergency hospital & 18 healthy volunteers. Data was collected from May to October 2016. We concluded that increased arterial wall stiffness is a complication of uremia and ESRD as evident by high augmentation index, PWV. We also conclude PWV & PP are independent predictors for left ventricular hypertrophy assessed by LVMI in HD population. .
