Abstract
the old kingdom was not only the era of builders of the pyramids, but also the era of internal security and prosperity, in the old kingdom Egypt has reached the summit of glory in many sciences as there have been some administrative changes in the state in the Fourth Dynasty These changes led to the emergence of new terms, concepts and titles from these titles is sn-Dt which is Founded in the epigraphic record as well as the administrative documents. And it raised many questions about its meaning, nature and functions. Some researchers speak about sn-Dt but they were differed in its nature and its reference. So this title “sn-Dt” has been chosen to be the topic of this thesis.
Therefore, the Researcher divided the study into, an Introduction, and three parts including plates, tables and a conclusion, and a set of appendices related to the study:
The Introduction mentions the importance of the study, and the objectives of the study, the problem of the study, also presented an analytical study of the most important sources of the study.
1. Part I entitled: ”linguistic and historical study about sn-Dt”, in this part researcher tries to reach a linguistic and historical interpretationfor sn-Dt, through the interpretation of the sn-Dt and collect the views of Egyptologists on the title as well as the appearance of sn-Dt, as an introduction to the study. And it was divided into 3 chapters.
