Abstract The field experiments were conducted in El-Mattana Agricultural Station, Luxor Governorate during two growing seasons (2013 and 2014) to investigate the response of Giza 90 cotton variety to irrigation intervals It could be concluded from this study that the increasing nitrogen level and using the applications of Humex, potassium silicate and glycine betaine to plants under normal and water stress conditions could induce drought tolerance of cotton plants and in turn improved plant growth, fruiting, earliness, yield, fiber particularly under water stress conditions. Using 15 day irrigation interval, 75 kg N /fed and foliar application with Humex 5 cm3 /L where this combination is the best treatment for good growth and high productivity of cotton under El-Mattana, Luxor Governorate conditions. |
