Abstract
The main objective was study the effect of lighting program on productive and physiological performance of broiler chicks Three hundred and twenty (320) unsexed Cobb avian 48 chicks at 1-day old were allotted to four groups according to lighting programs (24 light+ zero dark , 18 light + 6 dark , 17 light + 7 dark and 16 light + 8 dark). Dark was divided to two periods (from 5:00 am and 7.00 pm). The experiment was ended at 5 weeks of age. Temperature was maintained at 32ºC for the first 5 days and then gradually reduced according to normal management practices. Feed and water were added ad Libitum. All chicks were kept under the same managerial, hygienic and environmental conditions.
