Abstract

The study aimed to develop some types of commercial food packaging materials available in the local markets by immunizing them with nanoparticle materials that improve their properties. It is also aimed to improve the antibiotic activity, especially bacteria, fungi and yeast. Hollow sphere selenium nanoparticles SeNPs have been synthesized as a unique form of nanoparticle shapes to improve these properties. In order to study the physical properties of nanomaterials, number of techniques were used, starting from the ultraviolet/visible spectrum, which showed the appearance of Surface Plasmon Resonance, indicating the possibility of the presence of selenium nanoparticles whose shape and final size were determined using the transmission electron microscope. The microscopic images showed formation of hollow spherical particles with diameters ranging from 45-55 nm. It is clear from the measurement of Zeta and Zeta potential that the nanoparticles formed with high stability resulting from negative voltage lead to the dissociation of these particles and does not allow the formation of clusters. The immersion technique was then used for extended periods ranging from 24 - 480 hours by immersion three different types of commercial food packaging materials available in markets as follows: (A): Stretch film of PE supplied by Etman group, Egypt. (B): Stretch film of plasticized PVC Tygon, Nonyl Aldehyde, Polyster, Terephthalat supplied by Etman group, Egypt.
