Abstract

With the advent of the IoT (Internet of Things) era, multiple billion of devices are easily able to connect wirelessly to the Internet, from handhelds to coffee machines can generate huge amounts of data (BigData) that might be used in IoT applications. This thesis presents the design and implementation of senseegypt an Internet of Things Platform which can gather sensor data from different devices and provide the ability to extract meaningful information from IoT data using machine learning algorithms and then based on the analysis results there are some actions may be taken such as sending alerts to user and sending commands to other actuators. SenseEgypt platform introduces a messaging system which supports MQTT—an OASIS standard IoT messaging protocol to improve the overall system performance as well as provide easy scalability.
