Abstract The percentage of post partum patients who had wound infection, fever, endomyometritis, urinary tract infection UTI and who needed the use of additional therapeutic antibiotic in group (1), (21%) had wound infection, (11%) had fever, (9%) of them had fever with wound infection, (9%) had urinary tract infection while (28%) needed use of therapeutic antibiotic, in group (2), (4%) had wound infection, (5%) had fever, (3%) of them had fever with wound infection, (5%) had urinary tract infection while (7%) needed the use of additional therapeutic antibiotic, while in group (3), (2%) had wound infection, (2%) had fever, (1%) of them had fever and wound infection, (2%) had urinary tract infection while (3%) needed the use of additional therapeutic antibiotic. None of all patients in the three groups had endomyometritis. There was statistical difference between group 1 and group 2, and between group 1 and group 3. There was no statistical difference regarding wound infection, fever, endomyometritis, urinary tract infection UTI and use of therapeutic antibiotic between group (2) and group (3). |
