Abstract Regarding to urine analysis, Physical evaluation of urine revealed a significant decrease in urine pH to be acidic in SGC and SGB, while there is no change of normal alkaline pH in SGA in males and females. In contrast the specific gravity of urine was increased in SGC and SGB with no change in SGA (control group) in both sexes. On the other hand there was no difference in colour, odour, aspect, and turbidity of urine between saline water sub groups and control group (SGA) in rams and ewes.No changes were recorded in chemical analysis between saline water treated and non treated sub groups in male and female groups. Microscopical examination showed presence of uric acid and calcium oxalate crystals in both saline water subgroups(SGC and SGB),while control subgroup(SGA) had no crystals except some triple phosphate crystals.and sodium in SGC and SGB than in SGA while there were no significant change between SGC and SGB in both males and females in such parameters. As well as there were no significant changes regarding to globulin, ALT, potassium and chloride. This study was carried out at South Sinai Research Station (Ras Sudr), located at South Sinai Peninsula, belonging to Desert Researcher Center, Ministry of Agriculture and Land reclamation.Aimed to evaluate the Hemato-biochemical, Ultrasonographical, and Histopathological effect of saline water on liver and urinary system in barki sheep.30Barki sheep were allotted into two groups(15/each). 1st group (male) and 2nd group (female) subdivided into 3 subgroups (5/each). SGA male and SGA female were allowed to drink tap water with 350 ppm TDS and used as a control, SGBmale and SGB female were allowed to drink moderate saline water with 4557 ppm TDS andSGCmale and SGC female were allowed to drink high saline water with 8934 ppm TDS for 9 months. Two blood samples were collected, one at zero day and the second sample after 9 months of saline water treatment for evaluation of Hemato-biochemical parameters. As well as ultrasonography were done at zero day and after the end of 9 months. Also 2 animals were sacrified from each subgroup for histopathological examination of liver and kidney. The results revealed that water intake was increased in SGC in both males and females than that of SGB while there is no change in SGA, in contrast body weight were significantly decreased in SGC and SGB both males and females, With regard to hemato-biochemical parameters, there were significant increase inWBCs,lymphocyte, monocyte, granulocyte, RBCs, Hb, PCV%, platelets, albumin, total protein, A/G ratio, bilirubin, glucose, AST, ALP, GGT, urea, creatinine. |
