Abstract Problem-based learning (pbl) is one of most innovative teaching strategies that helps nursing students acquire the necessary skills of success in the 21 century it is an educational process in which learning is centered on problems ; in small groups, students are presented with patient scenarios or problems, generate learning issues relating to what they need to understand the problem engage in independent self- study, and return to their groups to apply their new knowledge to the problem The emphasis of pbl is on learning all content in an integrative way through small group, self-directed study of problem with the assistance of faculty instructor who is a facilitator of learning rather than an expert lecturer . Thus , pbl strategy can help nurse students integrate knowledge from umerous domains disciplines and sources; and apple it to their practice; develops self-control in students and enable students to see events multidimensional and with adeeper perspective. The actual study was conducted in three phases; planning implementation Problem – based learning should be recognized as an effective teaching strategy in teaching nursing Decision making problems should be addressed more in nursing administration course and other courses. |
