Abstract Objective: To demonstrate the role of MR diffusion – weighted images as a complementary tool in evaluation and assessmentof probably benign (BI-RADS-3) and suspicious (BI-RADS-4) breast lesions and its contribution to patient management. Aim of work: Our purpose was to study the utility of diffusion-weighted MRI in differentiating benign from malignant breast lesions by assessing the best b values. Conclusion: DWI has high specificity in characterization of mass and non mass lesions so it can be added to DCE-MRI sequences to improve its specificity and can be used alone combined with T2WI for cases in whom contrast agent could not be given. |
