Abstract The influence of three bioagents i.e. bioarc (Bacillus megaterium), biozeid (Trichoderma album) and Protecto (Bacillus thuringinthis)(Bt) on plant growth characters of squash plant cv. Elxandrany infected with 1000 juveniles of M. incognita in comparasion with oxamyl under greenhouse conditions indicated that all tested materials improved plant growth criteria and diminished nematode parameters as well. The bioagent, biozeid gave the maximum values of plant length (107.6%), number of flowers (73.1%), leaves / plant (40.2%) total plant fresh weight (54.6%), and shoot dry weight (92.9%), the highest percentage reduction values of final nematode population (88.8%), number of galls, (79.9%), and eggmasses (93.6%), followed by that of bioarc in these respect. Moreover, plant receiving the bioagent B. thuringinthis (Bt) showed moderate final population (87.0%) and number of galls (63.2%) and eggmasses (84.2%), comparing to nematode alone. The reproduction factor of M. incognita on squash plantwas adversely affected by the tested bioagents, since its values was ranged between 0.12 for oxamyl and 1.1 for B. thuringinthis (Bt) vs 1.97 for nematode alone, where biozeid treatment gave the lowest RF value(0.22). |
