Abstract Vaccination is one of the foremost health promotion measures to prevent a series of major epidemic diseases. Generally, high level of vaccination coverage has been attained after sustaining acceptable level of nurses’ knowledge and appropriate standardized vaccination practices among primary nurses. So, the implementation of protocols to eliminate inappropriate vaccinator nurses’ performance variation was one approach that had been employed to ensure that all vaccinated children received the best available care in a consistent manner. The present study aimed at developing clinical nursing protocol for management of vaccination process. The study was conducted at 27 primary health facilities of Mansoura district at Dakahlia governorate. The sample size was 220 primary nurse and 384 parents of children. Seven tools were used for preliminary assessment and evaluation stage. The study result illustrated gap of daily nurses’ vaccination practice in spite of majority of nurses showed fair knowledge regarding vaccination process. The main conclusion drawn from the present study is that, developing clinical nursing protocol for managing of vaccination process is critical to provide standardized framework for primary health nurse’ practice in the field of vaccination to reduce varied unacceptable nurse’s practice and so on promoting children’s parents’ satisfaction. |
