Dissertation Abstract The study was in question form “To what extent does the cost of university students in public and private universities affect the quality of the educational product? This question is subdivided following questions: a) What is the dominant philosophy of funding education in public and private universities? b)What is the real cost of the university student in public and private universities? c) What are the most important repercussions of the cost of university students on the quality of the educational product? d) What is the proposed conception of the quality of educational product from public universities? The objectives of the study to clarify the philosophy of higher education in governmental and private universities , to identify the cost of student in higher education, to identify the extent of cost of student on the quality of educational outcomes and the needed of the labor market, emphasizing the importance of quality of educational outcomes from the higher education. The tool in the study: Questionnaire was routed to undergraduate students to identify the repercussions of the increased cost of university students on the quality of the educational outcome The study has become in several measures covered by the researcher in five chapters : Chapter I: General framework for the study, Chapter II: The cost of higher education, chapter III, The quality of the educational outcome in university, chapter IV, field study, chapter V: study result and recommendations. Key words: 1-Funding of the higher education. 2-The cost of students in higher education. 3-The difference between quality in governmental universities and private universities.
