Abstract A series of ten novel Co(II), Ni(II) ,Cu(II) and Ru(III) complexes with tetraaza [N4 ]ligand (L)i.e.: N,N’-pyridine-2,6-diylbis(2-aminobenzamide) derived from 1H-benzo[d][1,3]oxazine-2,4-dione and 2,6 diaminopyridine has been synthesized. The metal complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, magnetic susceptibility data, IR and UV-Vis. On the basis of the physicochemical studies and spectral data distorted octahedral has been proposed for all complexes except Cu(II) perchlorate that adopts square planar geometry. The structure of all complexes shows that they are mononuclear except ruthenium (III), which is binuclear. |
