Abstract
Background and Purpose Information about oral health-related quality of life, in addition to clinical measures presents major importance for healthcare policy makers to address oral health needs and promote oral health resources. The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of children oral health on school performance and their quality of life.
Sample The study will include 360 to 400 children who are fulfilling the selection criteria and from one district randomly selected from the eight districts of Alexandria. Private and public schools will be represented in a proportional allocation sample.
Methods Personal and dental data will be collected from each child using the child oral impact on daily performance questionnaire and a clinical examination to assess caries experience.
Results Results will be tabulated and statistically analyzed using the suitable tests.
