Abstract Background: Asthenozoospermia is a common cause of male infertility. The severity of asthenozoospermia has a great impact on human fertilization both in vivo and in vitro. Asthenozoospermia may exist as an isolated disorder, in combination with other sperm anomalies or as a part of a syndromic association. Most of cases of asthenozoospermia are idiopathic and management of such cases is challenging and usually includes many empirical lines of medical treatment. Many cases show failure of medical treatment and so the introduction of ART is usually warranted. |
