Abstract The present work was carried out to study the effect of rafoxanide in therapeutic dose (3 mg/kg bodyweight) on immunomodulating activity, as well as evaluating the effect of rafoxanide on immune response on vaccinated rabbits with rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus vaccine in phagocytic activity, phagocytic index, serum nitric oxide level, lysozyme activity, Further approach was designed to study the effects of rafoxanide on humoral immune response as well as histopathological changes on lymphoid organs. A total of fifteen New Zealand white rabbits of 3-4 months old and weighting about 2-2.5 kg were purchased from a private rabbit farm without previous history of rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus outbreaks or vaccination against rabbit haemorrhagic disease virus were used in this study. Rabbits were randomly distributed into 3 equal groups each of 5 rabbits. |
