Abstract

The purposes of this study were to:
1- Determine radiographically the optimal site available for mini-screw insertion in mandibular posterior area, first vertically at the external oblique ridge in 2 different sites (middle of buccal surface of the second molar and distal to second molar), and secondly horizontally at the interradicular spaces of the mandibular posterior buccal area in 2 different sites (between second premolar and first molar and between first and second molar).
2- Assess the ideal angulation for mini-screws insertion at each specified site using CBCT.
3- Rank these sites according to bone length available for mini-screws.
