Abstract
Children are the present and future of Egypt. Preventive services for under 5 years children are important for lifelong health and wellbeing of individuals. Studies into knowledge, attitudes, and practices of family physicians in well child care seem to be scarce, so this interventional study was conducted to improve family physicians’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards anticipatory care for under-5-year-old children in Suez Canal area.
Objectives:
To evaluate family physicians’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices towards anticipatory care for under-5-year-old children in Suez Canal area before and after implementing of an interventional program.
Methods:
Design: Pre-post interventional study.
Setting: Family medicine department and family practice centers affiliated to family medicine department, Suez Canal University in Port Said, Ismailia, Suez governorate.
