Summary of the Study First: The study Problems:- Unemployment, the problem that concerns Egypt and many countries, really represents a crisis for broad segments of society which are capable of producing and tender. In addition to the increasing economic, social, political impact of unemployment, it was concentrated in the educated youth specially that of university, because it’s one of the age groups that suffer most from unemployment. One of the most important reasons of unemployment is the lack of jobs for this age category which are related to the fields of their studies, the thing that pushes them to accept jobs that are not related to their studies. These jobs require specific skills for the one who accepts it and these skills are required in many fields of labor market which became in a constant need for these skills, that’s why young people need to learn skills like: communication, marketing, time management, planning and social service that was and still one of the most important human professions that took responsibility toward young people and their problems and worked on resolving it, it also continued supporting youth in many fields. Social service has many ways and the most prominent of it is working with groups which deals with youth for what it include of ingredients that are represented in methods, techniques and programs through which youth receive help and working on solving his problems. Working with groups may play an important role in labor market through developing youth’s skills for the needs of the labor market and qualifying and preparing them to be able to get a suitable job and keep it. Second: The Study Importance:- 1-Increasing importance on behalf of the state to the young people and their causes: the young are distinguished with huge but repressed energies that need to be freed, so there must be a conversion of energy in to a tangible real production that contributes in promoting economic, social, and political development rates. 2-Academic youth suffers from unemployment that the highest rate of it reached 12% in 2017 on the state level and the rate of unemployment for the academic youth reached 35% in Egypt. 3-Inadequacy of youth’s skills with labor market requirements and the increasing of the number of young people who join the labor market led to make getting a job a difficult matter to gain for the youth.
4-The Scarcity of the studies that are related to the development of the academic youth’s skills which can be invested in social service and community service. 5-The previous studies proved the need to the relation between the labor market and the preparation of youth through the stages of the studying years, the thing that requires the attention to youth’s gaining of these skills that the labor market needs. Third:The Study objectives: This study seeks to achieve the main goal which is ”identifying the role of the method of working with groups in developing youth’s skills according to the labor market needs. This goal is divided into sub-goals which are:- 1-The identification of the youth’s labor market skills that should be developed. 2- The identification of role of the social specialist in developing youth’s skills according to the labor market requirements through his work with groups of the young. 3- The identification of the programs that the social specialist uses to develop youth’s skills according to the labor market requirements. 4- The determination of the professional methods that social specialist adopts in the development of the youth’s skills. 5- The specification of the difficulties that face the social specialist in working youth’s skills development. 6- Finding a program that is suggested from the prospective of working with the groups to develop youth’s skills. Fourth: The Study questions:- This study is looking forward to answering the main question which is ”what is the role of working with groups in the development of the youth’s skills according to the labor market’s requirements?” .This question is divided into:- 1- What are the youth’s labor market skills that should be developed? 2- What is the role of the social specialist in the development of the youth’s skills? 3- What are the programs and the activities that the social specialist uses to develop the youth’s skills? 4- What are the professional methods that the social specialist uses to develop the youth’s skills? 5- What are the difficulties that face the social specialist in developing the youth’s skills? 6- What are the necessary suggestions for the youth’s skills development? Fifth: The Study concepts:- The study included the following concepts:- 1- The concept of skill. 2- The concept of youth. 3- The concept of needs. 4- The concept of labor market Sixth: The methodological procedures:- 1-Type of study:- This study belongs to the descriptive studies. 2-The adopted approach:- The adopted approach is the social survey and its two types (comprehensive inventory by the sample). 3-Fields of the study:- - Human domain:- The sample of the study consisted of (160) students. - The comprehensive inventory of the social specialists who work in youth welfare offices in colleges like (social service-arts-commerce-law). - Spatial domain:- This study was applied in Asyut University on the colleges (social service-arts-commerce-law) - Time domain:- This study was performed with its two sections, the theoretical and the practical, in a period from 22/7/2015 to 30/5/2017. - Study Tools :- In this study, the researcher depended on the following tools:- An application of data collection (questionnaire) for a sample of the participating young people in the activities of the youth welfare offices in the faculty of social service. - An application of data collection (questionnaire) for the specialists who work in the youth welfare offices of the 4 colleges. Seventh: The Study results:- First:The general results of the questions of the study from the prospective of the youth:- 1- The general results of the question of labor market skills that should be developed:- The labor market skills that should be developed:- The study clarified that the most important labor market skills are:- A-Time management skill reached (94.4%) of strength. B-Communication skill reached (92.5%) of strength. C-Planning skill is evaluated to be (88.8%) of strength. D-Marketing skill is evaluated to be (86.9%) of strength. 2- The general results of answering the question that is related to the role of the social specialist in developing the skills of the youth:- The results showed that the roles of the social specialist in the development of the youth’s labor market skills are arranged according to the following:- A- The specialist’s role in developing time management skill reached (71.08%) of strength. B- The specialist’s role in developing communication skill reached (70.66%) of strength. C- The social specialist’s role in developing planning skill was evaluated to reach (69.93%). D- The social specialist’s role in developing marketing skill was evaluated to reach (64.65%). 3-The general results of answering the question that is related to the adopted programs and activities by the social specialist in developing the youth’s skills:- A- Social activities were evaluated with (70.51%).
B-Sport activities were evaluated with (64.38%). C-Cultural activities reached (66.83%) of strength. D- Artistic activities reached (61.39%) of strength. 4- The general results of answering the question that is related to the adopted professional methods in developing the youth’s skills:- The adopted professional methods in the development of the youth’s skills are:- The studies revealed that the adopted methods by the specialist reached (63.84%) of strength. This percent is an average ratio and the average is evaluated with (1.9). 5-The general results of answering the question that is related to the difficulties that confront the social specialist in the development of the youth’s skills according to the labor market requirements:- The study revealed the most difficult matters that face the social specialist in the youth’s skill development which are:- A- Lack of material possibilities for implementing the programs that help in developing these skills. B- Lack of believing in the importance of the social specialist role with which he helps the youth to gain their needed skills. C- Lack of cooperation with the community institutions that are concerned with the development of the youth’s skills. D- The abundance of the jobs that the social specialist should take responsibility for is the thing that makes him uninterested in developing the youth’s skills. E- Lack of time for the young to participate in the activities of skill development. Second: The general of answering the special questions of the study from the social specialists’ prospective:- 1- The general results of answering the question that is related to the labor market skills that should be developed:- The study elaborated the most important labor market skills that should be developed which are:-.1- Time management skill reached (95%).2- Communication skill reached (95%)..3- Planning skill is evaluated with (95%)..4- Marketing skill is evaluated with (95%)..2- The general results of answering the question that is related to the social specialist’s role in developing labor market skills:-.The results showed that the roles of the social specialist in the development of the youth’s labor market skills are arranged according to the following:-.A- The specialist’s role in developing communication skill reached (75.0%) of strength..B- The specialist’s role in developing planning skill reached (74.17%) of strength..C- The social specialist’s role in developing time management skill was evaluated to reach (73.89%). .developing marketing skill was evaluated to reach (72.78%). 3- The general results of answering the question that is related to the adopted programs and activities by the social specialist in developing the youth’s skills:- A- Cultural activities reached (72.33%) of relative strength. B- Social activities were evaluated with (72.14%)of relative strength. C- Sport activities were evaluated with (70.83%)of relative strength. D- Artistic activities reached (70.0%) of relative strength. 4- The general results of answering the question that is related to the adopted professional methods in developing the youth’s skills:- The adopted professional methods in the development of the youth’s skills are:- The study clarified that the professional methods adopted by the social specialist in the development of the youth’s skills were evaluated with (73.89%). This percent is an average ratio and the average was evaluated with (2.2). 5- The general results of answering the question that is related to the difficulties that confront the social specialist in the development of the youth’s skills according to the labor market requirements:- The study revealed the most difficult matters that face the social specialist in the youth’s skill development which are:- A- Lack of the necessary material possibilities for implementing the programs that help in developing these skills. B- Lack of time for the young to participate in the activities of skill development. C- Lack of the university management’s attention of holding job fairs with employment companies. Lack of interest in studying the needs of the labor market when planning the activities. E- The inadequacy of the activities of the youth’s skill development programs. 6- The general results of answering the question related to the necessary suggestions for the development of the youth’s skills according to the labor market needs:- The study revealed the social specialists’ suggestions for the development of the youth’s skills, and these suggestions are:- 1- Increasing the social specialist’s experiences and skills that make him able to help the youth in developing their labor market skills. 2- The increment of cooperation with the community institutions which are concerned with the development of the youth’s skills. 3- Convincing the youth with the importance of participating in different development activities. 4- The expansion of the needed material possibilities for implementing the programs that help in developing the youth’s skills. 5- Increasing the social specialist’s knowledge of required skills for the labor market.
