Abstract
This study was conducted to evaluate the possible effects of Ranolazine on glucose homeostasis in comparison with the standard drug, gliclazide in experimentaly induced type 2 diabetes in male albino rats.
In the experiment, a total of 32 rats were used. The rats were divided randomly into 4 groups of 8 animals each:
5. group I (saline control group): Normal rats received saline (1ml/kg/day) for 5 weeks starting from the 3rd day after the single intraperitoneal injection of citrate-buffered solution and served as a negative control.
