Abstract
The present study aims to classify and characterize five commercial Egyptian cotton varieties (Gossypium barbadense L.). Hence, some physical properties of cotton fibers (Length; micronaire and strength) were measured and compared using High Volume Instruments (HVI). Moreover, three different DNA molecular analyses (RAPD; ISSR and SSR) were applied to estimate the genetic diversity among the five Egyptian cotton varieties and their genetic relationships were determined.
