Abstract The optimal use of water resources which are limited is considered to be a necessity. Therefore, soil water management practices should be evaluated in terms of drip supplementary irrigation and organic fertilizer (sheep dung compost), and choose the most suitable one for improving physical properties and some chemical properties of the soil, and increase the ability of soil to conserve water to maximize the utilization of rainwater and thus improve the productivity of the wheat crop under rain-fed conditions. Therefore, two field experiments were carried out during two consecutive seasons (2013-2014) and (2014-2015) at a private farm of a Bedouin citizen in Al-Mathany area, Al-Niegala Markaz, West of Matrouh, North-Western Coast of Egypt. The studied area is located at latitude 31° 25’ 10.39’’ N, longitude 26° 48’ 15.01’’ E, an altitude of 87 meters above sea level, and about 4.5 km from the coastal road. The studied soil was characterized by Clay Loam texture. The experimental treatments included the following. |
